Title: Lightcurve Photometry of Twelve Asteroids

Date: Monday, November 14th

Time: 4:00 p.m.

Location: Ryan Hall, Room 111

About the topic:  Lightcurve photometry of asteroids is a useful tool in research. Lightcurves can be utilized to determine the rotation period, pole orientation, amplitude, satellites, and shape of asteroids. In this thesis, differential photometry techniques were used to develop lightcurves, rotation periods and amplitudes for twelve Main Belt asteroids. Eight of these asteroids had no previous lightcurve research.
