Kajli Agrawal Attends AGU Meeting in California

Kajli Agrawal, a graduate student at UND Space Studies attended the American Geophysical Union (AGU) conference 2011 in San Francisco, CA on Dec 5-9. Her abstract, titled “Estimation of E-Region Electron Density Profile Using Radio Occultation Measurements” was selected for poster presentation which was presented by her on Dec 8th 2011.

AGU happens to be one of the world’s largest conferences specifically for Earth and Space scientists. This year alone, over 20000 people from all over the world attended the conference. The conference housed 12,000 poster presentations and 6,000 oral presentations over a span of just 5 days. There was something for everyone who attended, in the form of workshops on various subjects and social networking events. The conference presented all the attendees an opportunity to talk and gather information from experts and professionals in the field of Earth and Space Science.

As a graduate student, Kajli Agrawal had the opportunity to learn from others working in her field of research which happens to be, the study of Ionosphere. This information, she feels, would not only help in her ongoing research, but also provide her with future direction.

All the abstracts will be accessible at the AGU website until February 2012. To view the abstracts, visit the following link and click “SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM”
