Fall 2014 Near-Space Balloon Competition!
Proposals are now being accepted for the 4th annual Near-Space Balloon Competition (NSBC). Students design and build payloads (science/engineering experiments) to be flown on high altitude balloons that reach the stratosphere at ~100,000 feet. That’s the edge of space!
This NASA competition is open to North Dakota students grades 6-12 in teams of 3-20. Space Grant will fund accepted proposals with up to $250 per payload and reimburse travel funds to the launch at the University of North Dakota in late fall/early winter 2014.
Proposals due: October 10, 2014
