Dr. Hardersen Leads Education Efforts in New York State

Dr. Hardersen led an education event in the Hamptons and Montauk, New York, in mid-July to highlight the Pluto flyby of NASA’s New Horizons spacecraft. Dr. Hardersen led discussions of the Pluto flyby, the controversy of Pluto’s status as a planet, and conducted star parties for a crowd primarily consisting of movers-and-shakers from the Manhattan financial district. This is the 2nd year in a row Dr. Hardersen has led space-related education events in Montauk and plans are already in the works for next year’s events.
