ND NASA EPSCoR Request for Pre-Proposals & Reviewers – FY2024 R3 CAN
Overview:
In response to the FY 2024 NASA Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) EPSCoR Rapid Response Research (R3) Announcement Number: NNH24ZHA002C, the North Dakota NASA EPSCoR (Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research) is soliciting pre-proposals from faculty at affiliate institutions specifically designed to promote and expand NASA research in North Dakota. Following preliminary proposal selection by ND NASA EPSCoR, the selected pre-proposal team(s) will work directly with the ND NASA EPSCoR office to submit a full proposal to NASA via NSPIRES.
The purpose of the ND NASA EPSCoR program is to promote, develop, and expand NASA research in North Dakota aligned with NASA priorities and Mission Directorates.
Successful awards will be made up to $100,000 each (no cost-share required), with a period of performance of one year.
Eligibility:
- Faculty Sci-I must be from an ND NASA EPSCoR affiliate institution.
- Research must align with the “Research Focus Areas” as defined in the NASA solicitation.
Proposal Submission Timeline:
- Pre-Proposals due: Noon, Dec. 18, 2023
- Full Proposals due to ND NASA EPSCoR: Feb. 15, 2024
- Full Proposals due to NASA: Feb. 26, 2023

Reviewers:
If you are interested in serving as a reviewer for this round of pre-proposals, submit your interest via this online form, no later than Noon on 12/18/2023.
- If you are submitting a pre-proposal for this RFP, you are ineligible to serve as a reviewer.
- Reviewers will be compensated $60 per pre-proposal reviewed.
- The review period will be ~Dec. 18, 2023 – Jan. 8, 2024.
- Your potential selection as a reviewer is dependent on the number and scope of proposals received by ND NASA EPSCoR.
