Dr. Aaron Kennedy Named Fulbright Iceland-National Science Foundation Arctic Research Grant Recipient

Dr. Aaron Kennedy, Associate Professor and Graduate Program Director in Atmospheric Sciences, has been named a recipient of the Fulbright Iceland-National Science Foundation Arctic Research Grant through the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program for the 2024-2025 competition.

As a Fulbright Scholar, Dr. Kennedy will bring his instrumentation and novel methods of observing falling and blowing snow to the Icelandic Meteorological Office in Ísafjörður,  in part, to improve avalanche forecasting there. This research will occur during his UND developmental leave scheduled for the 2024-25 Academic Year.
