UND School of Law alumni begin clerkships with the North Dakota Supreme Court

Supreme Court welcomes new law clerks

The North Dakota Supreme Court is pleased to announce the following individuals who began their one-year clerkship with the North Dakota Supreme Court on August 1, 2022.

Austin Artz of Minot, North Dakota, received a B.A. in History with a minor in German from the University of North Dakota.  Mr. Artz received his J.D. from the University of Nebraska School of Law in May 2022.  He is the son of Robert and Brenda Artz of Minot, North Dakota.

Krista Christopherson of Mandan, North Dakota, received a B.B.A. in Business Economics with a minor in Philosophy from the University of North Dakota.  Ms. Christopherson received her J.D. from the University of North Dakota School of Law in May 2022. She is the daughter of John and Cindy Sauber of Mandan, North Dakota.

Samantha Schmidt of Fargo, North Dakota, received a B.A. in History and Political Science with a minor in Religion from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota.  Ms. Schmidt received her J.D. from the University of North Dakota School of Law in May 2022.  She is the daughter of Patrick and Cheryl Schmidt of Harwood, North Dakota.

Rainey Selvig of Bismarck, North Dakota, received a B.S. in Business Management from North Dakota State University.  Ms. Selvig received her J.D. from the University of North Dakota School of Law in May 2022.  She is the daughter of Dave and Sarah Selvig, formerly of Jamestown, North Dakota.

Claire Thompson of Grand Forks, North Dakota, received a B.A. in Communications Studies from St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minnesota.  Ms. Thompson received her J.D. from the University of North Dakota School of Law in May 2022.  She is the daughter of Mare Thompson of Grand Forks, North Dakota, and Erik Harris.
