University of North Dakota School of Law Federalist Society Named Finalist for National Innovation Honor
Chapter Recognized for Creativity and Original Programming Among Students
The Federalist Society chapter at the University of North Dakota School of Law has been named a finalist for the prestigious George Washington Award for Most Innovative Chapter — a national honor recognizing exceptional creativity and original programming among student chapters.

The award celebrates chapters that go beyond traditional programming to develop impactful, forward-thinking events and initiatives, many of which are showcased during the National Student Symposium. Finalists and winners are typically announced in March as part of the organization’s annual recognition of outstanding student leadership and achievement.
Recent recipients of the award include the University of Michigan Law School (2025) and the University of Alabama School of Law. In 2023, the Northwestern Federalist Society also earned top honors for its innovative contributions.
Being named a finalist places UND’s chapter among the most creative and dynamic student organizations in the country, highlighting its commitment to thoughtful dialogue, academic engagement, and leadership within the legal community.
