College of Education & Human Development to present inaugural Torchbearer Awards
Ceremony on Thursday, April 16, will celebrate alumni and friends who’ve made a lasting impact on North Dakota and UND

WHO: Inaugural Torchbearer Awards, awarded by the UND College of Education & Human Development
WHAT: The Torchbearer Awards are meant to recognize extraordinary alumni, students and friends whose contributions reflect the college’s core values and commitment to positive impact.
WHEN: Thursday, April 16, 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
WHERE: UND Memorial Union, Ballroom C/D
ABOUT: The Torchbearer Awards were established by the college and its Alumni Advisory Board to honor alumni and friends who exemplify the college’s core values through leadership, innovation, service, and mentorship.
The Award Categories are as follows:
CEHD Torchbearer Emerging Leader Award
Recognizes early-career alumni (within 10 years of graduation) who demonstrate outstanding leadership and potential for significant impact.
CEHD Torchbearer Innovation and Community Impact Award
Honors individuals whose innovative work has made meaningful contributions to education and/or community well-being.
CEHD Torchbearer Mentorship Award
Celebrates those who have significantly influenced others through formal or informal mentorship, advancing the growth of students, professionals, or community members.
