$25K Raised for UND LGBTQ+ Endowment
Pride Center meets goal of raising $25K for the UND LGBTQ+ Endowment

In April 2024, Dr. Bridget Brooks alongside her wife, Jody Little, established the UND LGBTQ+ Endowment for the University’s Pride Center. They set a goal to raise $25,000 and by the end of Pride Month, June 2025, that goal was met.
Bridget said, “When we created this endowment, we intentionally named it the LGBTQ+ Endowment because it belongs to everyone. And there are so many of you who have contributed, this belongs to you. It belongs to ALL of us!
The Pride Center is a space where anyone can go to find community. The staff work to provide opportunities that support student success, fosters engagement, and belonging. The UND LGBTQ+ Endowment helps create a bright future in moving the work forward to better serve the UND campus community.
Jeff Maliskey, director of the Pride Center stated, “It truly takes a community to really make a difference in the lives of our students. I am so grateful for the dedication and commitment to our work that Bridget and Jody have continuously provided. I am also beyond grateful for everyone that gave to the the endowment, so many of our alumni and friends have supported us; words cannot express my gratitude and appreciation for the community that believes in our work.”
Meeting the goal of $25,000 was a huge accomplishment and is only the beginning to creating a lasting legacy of LGBTQ+ programs and services at UND. The Pride Center team alongside Bridget and Jody have set a goal to reach $100K by April 2029, the 5 year anniversary of the the endowment.
