Provost LeBel: Please take survey

Dear Faculty and Instructional Staff:

We need your help in completing a simple and brief survey that will take five minutes or less of your time. The purpose of this survey is to collect necessary data regarding service-learning in the curriculum across campus. We need everyone to complete the survey even if you do not use service-learning.

The survey is found at www.surveymonkey.com/s/W7H86PF. As a thank you to those you complete the survey by May 20, we will be having a drawing for ten $25.00 gift certificates to the University Book Store.

The information is being gathered for an application to the Carnegie Foundation. UND is proud to have been among the first group of universities nationally to be designated an “Engaged Campus” by the Carnegie Foundation in 2006. Our designation was awarded on the basis of our application to the Outreach and Partnerships category. The University now has an opportunity to apply for the Curricular Engagement category. The application is due shortly.

The application process is being headed by Lana Rakow, Director of the Center for Community Engagement, along with Sagini Keengwe, Assistant Professor in the Department of Teaching and Learning, and Cyndee Payne, Assistant to the Vice President of Academic Affairs/Provost.

Questions can be directed to Cyndee at 777-2167 or cyndeepayne@mail.und.edu.

We appreciate your help with collection of this important information.

Sincerely,

Paul LeBel, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs
