The Big Event thanks volunteers

The organizers of The Big Event would like to extend a big thank you to all students, faculty and staff who participated.  More than 900 volunteers completed over 160 projects in the Grand Forks and East Grand Forks communities that day. Project lengths ranged from two to four hours. While some of the volunteers did spring cleaning at residences for the elderly or disabled, others painted, cleaned city parks, worked with the elderly at nursing homes and assisted living homes, and helped out at youth events. Members of the community that were helped during this annual, single-day, service event were very appreciative for the enthusiasm and hard work of all of the volunteers. Students of The Big Event student organization thank the University Community for their help in making the sixth annual Big Event a huge success.
