Kumi Nagamoto-Combs joins Office of Intellectual Property Commercialization and Economic Development

The Office of the Vice President for Research and Economic Development is pleased to announce an important addition to enhance the commercialization of inventions made in medicine and the life sciences. Kumi Nagamoto-Combs recently joined the Office of Intellectual Property Commercialization and Economic Development as a Licensing Assistant. Nagamoto-Combs holds a Ph.D. in neuroscience from the University of Rochester and conducted postdoctoral research at Case Western Reserve University. Most recently she was a lecturer in Cell Biology and Anatomy in the UND School of Medicine. Nagamoto-Combs will expand the ability of the Office of Research and Economic Development to provide expertise and service to faculty in medicine and the life sciences, and will work closely as part of the team in Intellectual Property Commercialization and Economic Development to identify, evaluate, and commercialize inventions made by faculty, staff and students at UND.
