Center for Community Engagement names gift certificate winners

We would like to thank everyone who took our survey on service-learning in the curriculum across campus. We had an excellent response rate of 682 individuals completing the survey. The answers to these questions will help us compile valuable data needed to complete UND’s application for the Curricular Engagement category of the “Engaged Campus” designation by the Carnegie Foundation.

For completion of the survey, the following individuals’ names have been drawn and each will receive a $25 gift certificate to the University Book Store: Creighton Brown (English), Michael Baird (Multicultural Student Services), Rachel Dauksavage (Nursing), Joshua Fershee (School of Law), Brett Goodwin (Biology), Travis Heggie (Counseling), Jeanie McHugo (Family & Community Medicine), Cameron Murphy (Pharmacology, Physiology, Therapeutics), Roger Shauer (Family & Community Medicine), and Marcus Weaver-Hightower (Educational Foundations & Research).

The application process is being headed by Lana Rakow, Director of the Center for Community Engagement, along with Sagini Keengwe, Assistant Professor in the Department of Teaching and Learning, and Cyndee Payne, Administrative Officer for the Center for Community Engagement and Women Studies.

Questions about the application process can be directed to Cyndee Payne at 777-6181 or cyndeepayne@mail.und.edu. Information about service learning and assistance for faculty interested in using service learning in their courses is available from Lana Rakow at 7-2287 or lanarakow@mail.und.edu.
