Grant writing workshop set for Sept. 11

Learn the basics of grant proposal writing for public and private agencies and foundations from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, in the Memorial Union River Valley Room. Topics to be covered in a general session include the elements of a successful proposal, how to develop a budget, the handling of compliance and intellectual property issues, and how to get a proposal through Research Development & Compliance (RD&C). Following the general session, there will be breakout sessions to discuss the specifics of funding at: DOE, NASA, NIH, NSF, Public Other, and Private Other.
