Comment period announced for Membership Dues Policy

A campus-wide comment period will be held October 8 through October 22, for Policy 2.6, Membership Dues.

This policy was originally issued in 2006. Revisions have been made.

Notable Changes: UND may pay employee membership dues for professional organizations and membership dues for service clubs when the membership is required to do business or if the membership is for the benefit of the University.

Formerly, membership dues in an individual’s name or in a service club were paid by UND only if approved by Accounting Services. North Dakota Century Code does not have these restrictions, thus these statements were removed from this policy. Whenever possible, memberships should be in the name of UND, not an individual, to promote the transferability of the membership.
