Wellness walk with President and First Lady Kelley is Nov. 2

University of North Dakota President Robert Kelley and First Lady Marcia Kelley will once again lead staff and faculty on a walk around campus to promote physical exercise as part of Tennis Shoe Tuesday on campus.

The next Walk with the Kelleys is scheduled for 12:15 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, outside Twamley Hall, by the Eternal Flame.  The group will take a walk on a campus trail (rain, snow or shine). Hot chocolate, fruit and vegetables will be available afterward.

Before the walk, The President, First Lady, Work Well program and departmental representatives (Work Well Engagers) will accept the national Platinum-Level award from the American Heart Association as recognition for their Fit-Friendly company status of creating a culture of wellness at UND.

There will be a $100 give-away held at the walk event, if 100 or more UND employees participate.

UND employees have been celebrating physical fitness on Tennis Shoe Tuesdays by wearing/bringing tennis shoes and walking during lunch breaks.
