George Walsh bust will be dedicated Wednesday

The bust of George Walsh will be dedicated Wednesday, Nov. 24, at 10:30 a.m. at  the sculpture location outside of Twamley Hall near the clock.

Walsh wrote the legislation to locate the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks.  The bill was introduced at the Dakota Territorial Assembly in 1883.  Walsh County is named in his honor, as is Walsh Hall on campus.  Sculptor Heidi J. Hoy was commissioned by the UND 125th Anniversary Committee to create this piece.  Refreshments will be served in 305 Twamley Hall following the ceremony.  Please join us.
