Muhammad Baqui joins Center for Rural Health

Muhammad Baqui has joined the Center for Rural Health (CRH) at the School of Medicine and Health Sciences.

Baqui is a web developer for the CRH. In this position, he will design and maintain databases, assist with Web design and maintenance, and provide technical support. Baqui will be working with the Health Workforce Information Center’s (HWIC) Web site, the CRH’s activity tracking system, and he will provide technical support for center-wide database systems.

Prior to joining the CRH, Baqui worked as a helpdesk consultant for Information Technology Services at North Dakota State University (NDSU). Baqui is pursuing a master’s of science in software engineering from NDSU, and is originally from Dhaka, Bangladesh. In his free time, he enjoys travelling and playing soccer.

Established in 1980, the Center for Rural Health is one of the nation’s most experienced rural health organizations. It has developed a full complement of programs to assist researchers, educators, policymakers, health care providers and, most importantly, rural residents to address changing rural environments by identifying and researching rural health issues, analyzing health policy, strengthening local capabilities, developing community-based alternatives, and advocating for rural concerns.
