Chancellor’s budget message, documents available online

North Dakota University System Chancellor Bill Goetz has posted his budget message, the NDUS budget request, and 2011 legislative agenda online at www.ndus.edu/employees/2011-13-ndus-budget-request-emp-subpage/.

In his six-minute video message, “Investing in North Dakota’s Future,” he said he will focus on access to higher education, affordability and commitment to student success, contributing to the state’s economic viability, continued excellence in research, and collaborating as a System. Priorities include keeping higher education affordable, responding to workforce needs, faculty/staff salaries and benefits, funding to increase the number of physicians and allied health professionals, one-time funding requests, and advancing technology. Investment in the University System, he says, is an investment in the future of our students and the people of North Dakota.
