Denim Days 2011 kicks off this month
Mark your calendars. There is a change in the Denim Day schedule –- there will be a Denim Day every other week, alternating Wednesdays and Fridays. Our first Denim Day of 2011 will be Wednesday, Jan. 5. Listed below are the 2011 Denim Day dates and the new recipients of Denim Day funds.

2011 Denim Day Recipients:
- Altru Infant and Child Bereavement Program (provides support/services to families who have lost a child)
- Dakota Science Center (provides science programming to K-12 students)
- Global Friends Coalition (provides support/services to local refugees)
- Greater Grand Forks Senior Citizens (provides health/wellness services to older adults)
- Mountainbrooke Recovery Center (provides wellness/recovery services to adults with a mental illness)
- ND Chapter for Am Foundation for Suicide Prevention (provides suicide prevention education and support to survivors of suicide loss)
- Prairie Harvest Mental Health (provides independence/quality of life services to adults with a mental illness)
- Safe Kids Grand Forks (provides education/services to prevent unintentional injury or death to children)
- Special Olympics North Dakota (provides education/services to children and adults with intellectual disabilities)
