Veterans Upward Bound helps vets attend college

Since its inception in 1972, the Veterans Upward Bound (VUB) program has helped thousands of veterans through preparatory training (tutoring, counseling), to attend a college of their choice. The program is free and offers individualized non-credit course work in mathematics, science, computer studies, English, reading, and study skills. In addition, we offer information and academic assistance concerning educational opportunities, methods of obtaining financial aid, post secondary admission and veteran’s rights and benefits. Since instruction is individualized, veterans may begin their training in VUB at any time, and the organization also offers on-line tutoring.

The VUB serves all of North Dakota and the Northwest Region of Minnesota. The main office is located at NDSU Ceres Hall with Bruce Steele as the director and  Jeri Vaudrin as the project coordinator. The satellite office is located at UND in 219 Memorial Union, with James Becks is the site coordinator. If you are interested or have questions on what VUB has to offer please contact us:
