Studio One features segments on eyestrain and fast food

Learn how to give fatigued eyes some relief with a simple focusing exercise and find out what is really in your drive-through tacos on the next edition of Studio One.

Daily activities such as driving and spending time in front of a PC can be tough on the eyes. Overuse of the eye muscles can lead to “eyestrain”. This condition causes people to experience blurred vision or a hard time focusing. North Dakota Eye Clinic Optometrist Tom Dunham says permanent damage is possible when eyestrain goes untreated. Dunham will explain how doing eye “push-ups” can prevent this condition and also bring relief to overworked eyes.

Also, many people prefer the convenience and low cost of fast food. However, there is a price to pay for eating speedy meals. According to registered dietician Allen Anderson, those drive-through dinners are high in trans-fat and low in actual meat. Tune into Studio One this week to see how unhealthy a steak burrito or onion rings can be for consumers.
