Sign up for the on-campus CLA Academy by Oct. 1

OID is partnering with NDSU to bring a CLA Academy to North Dakota. The CLA Academy provides training in a strategy for incorporating student engagement and active learning, along with the opportunity for meaningful assessment practices, into a wide range of kinds and levels of classes.

Participation in a nationally recognized program of this sort usually costs a faculty person most of his/her travel dollars and a significant amount of travel time (workday + weekend) – but because of OID’s sponsorship, UND faculty will be able to attend this attend the two day event (11/3 from 9-5 and 11/4 from 9-3) with no out-of-pocket (or out-of-travel-allowance) costs.

Faculty who attend the CLA Academy develop specific tasks to be incorporated directly into their class.
