Honors Program will rake leaves for Doctors Without Borders

UND Honors students are raking leaves this month to raise money for Doctors Without Borders, an organization which won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1999 for its pioneering approach to medical humanitarianism.

In celebration of its 50th anniversary, the UND Honors Program is hosting a Great Conversations event with Dr. James Orbinski on October 26 at 7 p.m. at the Chester Fritz Auditorium. Orbinski was the international president of Doctors Without Borders when the organization won the Nobel Prize. In honor of his visit, students will be fundraising for Doctors Without Borders throughout the year.

Raking will be completed Sundays in October for a free will offering. Anyone interested in scheduling a raking should contact Honors at  und.honorsprogram@email.und.edu or call 777-5098.
