UND 24/7 photography contest winners announced

Congratulations to the following students who are winners of the UND 24/7 photography contest sponsored by the Graphics and Photography Society, a student organization in the Department of Technology.

Photographs of the “Faces of UND” were taken on campus between Oct. 1 and Dec. 1, 2011. “We wanted to see what UND life really looks like 24 hours, 7 days a week,” said Lynda Kenney, graphics and photography professor in the Department of Technology, who serves as advisor to the Graphics and Photography Society. “And that’s what we got,” said Kenney. “The images are excellent representations of campus life.”

The winning photographs will be displayed at the Memorial Union until Dec. 16. After that they may be viewed on the Graphics and Photography Society’s web site at http://www.my.business.und.edu/orgs/gaps/.

More than 100 images were submitted to the UND 24/7 photography contest, which was free and open to everyone. Photographs were judged on content expression, and technical and composition quality.
