Faculty sought to take part in NATURE Program

ND EPSCoR will host an informational meeting for our NATURE (Nurturing American Tribal Undergraduate Research and Education) program. NATURE is an educational outreach program sponsored by ND EPSCoR and designed to strengthen existing pathways for Native American students to pursue careers in the STEM fields at one of the North Dakota research universities.

There are several opportunities, with widely differing time commitments, to participate in this program during the academic year and the summer, e.g., 1)University Mentor; 2)Sunday Academy; and, 3)Summer Camp. This is an excellent opportunity to not only contribute to increasing the number of students in STEM careers, but provide background and depth for your own proposals that have broadening participation components. Moreover, faculty members are paid (modest amounts) for many activities.

ND EPSCoR is seeking UND faculty participation in this program. Please share this information with your faculty. The meeting will take place from 10 a.m. to noon Monday, May 14 in the Alumni Room, UND Memorial Union.
