April 5 video message from President Armacost

In his video, President Armacost begins with some announcements:

  • The 50th Time Out Wacipi Powwow will take place Friday and Saturday at Hyslop Sports Center, and he looks forward to welcoming members of tribal communities to campus.
  • The National Collegiate Drone Racing Championship is set for Saturday and Sunday at the Pollard Athletic Center.
  • The SpaceAg Conference, which looks at how space-based technology can support agriculture, as well as how to farm in space, will be held Thursday, April 14, in cooperation with Grand Farm.

He also congratulates UND’s graduating medical students, who last week were “matched” to their residencies as they continue their journey to becoming practicing physicians. Armacost notes that last week was the end of Women’s History Month, and said that initiatives to support women will continue throughout the year, including the re-establishment of the President’s Advisory Council on Women, a group of women leaders across the campus.

Armacost says that UND is in the beginning stages of a salary survey, which will examine salary equity across gender, race, and the market. Finally, he invites everyone to tune into his next video, which will have a surprise guest.
