Chester Fritz Library adds New York Times access

The Chester Fritz Library added a subscription to the New York Times education program, which gives you the ability to create your own account and have full access to their content. (Note: this subscription is not part of UND Law or School of Medicine & Health Sciences subscription packages. Our subscription does not include Games or NYT Cooking.)

On the New York Times website or app, with your account, you will have access to their current edition, 24/7 updates, data visualizations, interactive features, and more, including:

  • Over 150 years of the New York Times through their TimesMachine
  • New York Times Magazine
  • Book Reviews
  • Podcasts
  • Videos, including on topics such as Lifestyle & Wellness
  • Events
  • Newsletters
  • AR/VR Features
  • And more!

For those interested in registering for an account, follow these steps:

  • Go to our New York Times registration link – this link will ensure that you can get an account even if you are off campus
  • Click on “Create an Account”
  • Use your UND provided email address to sign up

If you already have a paid subscription, you will need to cancel your current subscription. You should be able to assign a password to your account with your UND-provided email address. In the event you log in without a password, you can reset your password here.

Another benefit of this subscription is that Students and Faculty can also register for InEducation, which is the New York Times curricular tool. The goal of this tool is to assist faculty with incorporating current events and news into their lesson planning and encourage conversations among students. You will need to create a separate account for this tool. You can register for an account by visiting the InEducation link.
