Pride Movie Night is Thursday, Sept. 22

Join the Pride Center, UND United, and the Northern Valley Labor Council on Thursday, Sept. 22, at the Empire Arts Theatre during Grand Forks Pride for a free showing of the 2014 film “Pride,” directed by Matthew Warchus. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The show starts at 7 p.m. and has a two-hour runtime.
Based on a true story, the movie follows a group of gay activists in the U.K. who work to help a group of miners during a labor strike in the summer of 1984. Critics say, “It’s powerful, glorious, funny, and uplifting,” (Alexa Darby, Dog and Wolf) and “…One of the best movies of the year…” (Michael Ordona, SF Chronicle).
