UND Parking Services shares updates for Summer 2023

You spoke, we listened!

In the past year, UND Parking Services has been working diligently to improve the campus experience for students, faculty, staff and visitors.

The department is excited to begin working with a new parking and transportation consulting firm, Kimley-Horn, which will be conducting a survey in the fall. Your feedback is important! The firm will work closely with the Parking & Transportation Committee, which has representation from students, faculty and staff. In turn, those representatives serve as liaisons in their respective senates.

People with questions, comments or concerns are encouraged to contact UND Parking Services at either 701.777.3551 or parking@UND.edu.

Permits required during summer

  • All vehicles parking in permitted spaces on campus must have a valid permit and be registered with UND Parking Services.
  • From May 15 through Aug. 18, “A,” “S,” and “H” permits are valid in any of the “A,” “S,” and “H” designated spaces, and on levels 2-5 of the ramp. Apartment/HOAPT permits are only valid in the appropriate apartment lot.
  • Summer permits can be purchased through the UND Parking Portal for $75.

Reminders

  • Spring Semester Permits will expire on May 31.
  • Current Annual Permits expire July 31 and next year’s Annual Permits are effective Aug. 1. Pre-sale information for next year’s annual permit will be sent out in July.
  • For those using motorcycles, permits are required and please refrain from parking in areas with “No Parking” zone signs.
  • Watch for Campus Construction updates, as there will be upcoming parking closures/changes throughout the summer semester.
  • Passport Parking is available in designated spaces in permitted lots and the parking ramp for guests and campus members without a parking permit.
  • Departments are required to make parking arrangements for their guests, which can be accessed on the UND Parking Services website.
  • UND Parking Services provides “Open Parking Hours” year-round. During “Open Parking Hours,” a parking permit is not required, but parking in restricted zones will continue to be monitored/enforced (e.g. reserved, safety concerns, no overnight, time limit zones, Engelstad Arena events).
    • M-F: 4 p.m. to 7 a.m.
    • Sat-Sun: All Day
