Oct. 3 video message from President Armacost

President Message 10/3

Amid two exciting weeks on campus, President Andrew Armacost makes a video appearance to share recent news from UND… while solving a Rubik’s cube.

Last week, the University hosted both its annual Wake Up to UND event as well as OpenAI co-founder Greg Brockman on Tuesday, Sept. 26. Coverage and footage of these events is available via UND Today.

Fall enrollment is up by 2.1% from last year, Armacost says. For incoming freshmen, the number of Presidential Scholars is up by 16%. He credits everyone on campus, including the teams in Admissions and Marketing & Communications, for spreading the good word about UND to prospective students.

Homecoming Week is this week, including several grand openings and groundbreakings, in addition to annual festivities. Check out the full schedule of events and Go Hawks!

Armacost also mentions next week’s UAS Summit, National Hispanic Heritage Month and an upcoming Veterans Day talk from a former UND student: motivational speaker, veteran and Paralympian Tony Drees.
