‘Smart with My Money’ program addresses financial literacy – for free

Have you ever felt like you didn’t have enough information to make a smart financial decision? Have your finances concerned you in any way?

The North Dakota University System is part of an important initiative to make North Dakota the most financially literate state in the nation. The unique website, Smart with My Money, provides a research-based perspective that goes far beyond other financial literacy sites.

To access this free resource, please visit SmartWithMyMoney.nd.gov and create an account. It’s recommended that you use your personal email address, so you can access it throughout your adult life.

After creating an account, you can take a 15-minute financial personality test and answer a few questions about your priorities and financial stage in life. Based on your answers and needs, tasks and recommended articles and videos will appear on your dashboard. There are also important sections addressing financial anxiety and behavioral finance.

In addition, every time you complete a task, you can earn “Sprouts” that may be redeemed for a chance to win cash prizes!

Get started today and continue to utilize this free resource to help you make good financial decisions.
