McCannel Hall entrances closed during summer for renovations

McCannel Hall’s north entrances will be under construction throughout much of the summer, followed by its south entrance in late July.

The north main entrance will be closed from Monday, May 13, through Tuesday, June 25. Pedestrians will be directed to enter and exit the north side of the building through the Student Health Services north entrance.

Work at the north entrance will include the installation of a new stone arch entry, as well as new storefronts. Safety fencing will be installed around the exterior of the entrance, and temporary shelters inside will indicate construction zones.

Starting Wednesday, June 26, the Student Health Services north entrance will be closed until Friday, July 26. Similar work will be taking place at this location, and pedestrians will be directed to enter and exit the Student Health Services area through the main north entrance.

On Monday, July 29, the building’s south entrance at the link between McCannel and Abbot halls will be closed to replace the exterior doors. Pedestrians can enter and exit McCannel Hall through the west entrance of Abbot Hall. The link between the buildings will remain open.

Wayfinding signage will be set up around construction sites throughout the process.
