Commercial Aviation international student wins 2025 Western Union Global Scholarship
UND Aviation senior Noumousso Diane has been awarded the 2025 Western Union Global Scholarship for international students.
Established in 2017, the scholarship supports students from low-income countries pursuing higher education. Recipients are selected based on academic achievement, financial need and personal aspirations.
Noumousso is a senior pursuing a degree in Commercial Aviation. When she completes this program, she will be the first female pilot from Mali. She has faced many significant financial challenges balancing academics, part-time work, and campus service as an international student.
Noumousso is an exceptional student leader. For her work as the vice president of the UND Chapter of the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals, she received the Stephanie Goetz & Endre Holen Multi-Engine Scholarship.
This scholarship will help Noumousso pay her tuition, flight training, rent, bills and other living expenses so she can focus on her training and academic goals.
