Daniel Kwasi Adjekum wins award for excellence in aviation

Daniel Kwasi Adjekum, associate professor of Aviation, was recently honored with the 2025 Frank E. Sorenson Award for Excellence in Aviation.

This award recognizes outstanding achievement in aviation research and scholarship. It is presented by the University Aviation Association, which represents collegiate aviation to colleges, universities, the aviation industry, government and the general public. The UAA has nearly 1,500 members from 131 member colleges and universities worldwide.

The award was presented during the 78th Collegiate Education Conference and Exposition in Costa Mesa, Calif., on Oct. 2, 2025.
