Office of Extended Learning partners with Coursera Career Academy

The University of North Dakota’s Office of Extended Learning has announced a new partnership with Coursera Career Academy, providing learners with access to high-quality, industry-recognized training designed to support career advancement.

Through this partnership, participants can develop cutting-edge, job-relevant skills and earn professional certificates from some of the world’s leading companies, including Google, Meta, IBM and others. The flexible, online programs are designed to prepare learners for today’s most in-demand fields through world-class instruction.

In an increasingly dynamic workforce, employers are seeking individuals who possess skills that may not be part of traditional academic curricula or prior training. Competencies such as creative thinking, leadership, conflict management and program and project management are highly valued across industries. Coursera Career Academy enables learners to build these in-demand skills and strengthen their professional profiles.

As part of UND’s partnership, a six-month Coursera subscription is available at an introductory rate of $99, compared to the standard subscription cost of $59 per month. This special offering is available to UND faculty, staff, students, alumni and members of the general public.

A Coursera subscription provides access to more than 600 curated courses spanning high-growth areas such as data and analytics, software engineering, cybersecurity, information technology and business. Additional coursework is available in fields including bookkeeping, public relations, graphic design, digital marketing, payroll, human resources, leadership and essential computer skills, among many others. Learners can earn micro-credentials, professional certificates and other industry-recognized credentials upon completion.
