School of Graduate Studies announces 2026-27 Doctoral Fellowship recipients
The School of Graduate Studies is pleased to announce the recipients for the 2026-27 Doctoral Fellowship. This award, sponsored by the School of Graduate Studies and the Office of the Vice President for Research & Economic Development, supports and fosters a culture of excellence in research and innovation while encouraging collaboration and inter-disciplinary engagement across campus.
The 2026-27 fellows are:

Tabish, Civil Engineering
Jurie Visagie, Aerospace Sciences
Fellowship recipients will spend the coming year focused on completing their dissertations while benefiting from mentorship provided by faculty from across the University. In early fall 2026, fellows will share a brief presentation of their anticipated dissertation work with the campus community at an event hosted by the School of Graduate Studies.
