Digital accessibility training for staff: recordings and resources
Hello Staff,
Over the past month and a half, many of you have participated in our digital accessibility trainings for staff or shared feedback through the needs assessment, thank you!
Your input helped shape the sessions, and we saw excellent participation and very positive evaluations across all four trainings.
Now that the series has wrapped up, I’m sharing the training recordings so you can review key topics or watch any sessions you weren’t able to attend.
Training recordings
- Digital Accessibility Basics Video
- Accessible Document Design in Microsoft Word Video
- Crafting Accessible Emails in Microsoft Outlook Video
- PDF Accessibility Basics Video
Before you begin (PDF Accessibility Basics)
- If you do not already have Adobe Acrobat Pro, please download it prior to viewing the training (see the UND Adobe Acrobat Pro Knowledge Base article for instructions).
- It is also recommended to download the Colour Contrast Analyzer ahead of time, as it is used during the session.
Upcoming hands-on PDF workshop opportunity
If you’re looking for more hands-on support, we’re offering two in-person workshops on Wednesday, April 15, where you can bring your own PDFs and work through accessibility fixes with guidance.
- Fix Your PDFs: Adobe Acrobat Accessibility Workshop 10 – 11 a.m.
- Fix Your PDFs: Adobe Acrobat Accessibility Workshop 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Additional accessibility resources
- UND Digital Accessibility Webpage (access tools and guidance)
- Set Up Adobe Acrobat for Accessibility (UND Guide) video (pairs well with the PDF training)
- Submit a UND Digital Accessibility Support Ticket (for questions or support)
Thank you again for your engagement and for the work you’re doing to make UND’s digital content more accessible.
If you have any questions or need support, feel free to reach out.
