Nominations due Friday for 2026 Staff Meritorious Service and UND Proud Awards

We are excited to come together and celebrate the great achievements of our staff employees.

The Office of Human Resources is seeking nominations for the Staff Meritorious Awards as well as the Ken & Toby Baker UND Proud Award.

• Ten, $1,000 Meritorious Service Awards will be selected to recognize staff who best reflect honor upon the University and the community through a combination of job performance, relationships with colleagues, and the ability to relate their work to the missions and values of the University.
• The Ken & Toby Baker UND Proud Award of $1,000 will be presented to a UND staff employee who, through extraordinary public service, has made lasting contributions to the external community, over and above the expectations of their regular University position. This award is only given when there is a candidate that has shown the service to our external communities.

All UND benefitted staff employees not in a probationary period are eligible for nomination with the exception of the president, vice presidents, deans, associate and assistant vice presidents and award winners from the previous seven years. The list of previous winners can be found on the Human Resources website.

Nominations may be submitted by any UND faculty, staff or student. The winners will be announced and honored at our 2026 Staff Recognition Luncheon on Tuesday, May 12.

Please submit your 2026 Meritorious Service and UND Proud Nominations no later than 4:30 p.m. Friday, April 24.
