Centennial Drive and Fox Memorial Bridge closed for reconstruction

Starting this week, Centennial Drive and the nearby Fox Memorial Bridge are closed to all traffic for reconstruction.

Centennial Drive — the north-south road along Gamble Hall, Nistler Hall and Merrifield Hall — is closed from University Avenue to the intersection with Davis Drive. Sidewalks closest to the roadway are also closed.

Access to the Burtness and Twamley parking lots will be maintained throughout the projects, via Davis Drive, and University Avenue traffic should remain unaffected by the closure.

Centennial Drive is expected to reopen around the end of the summer term, in August.

Fox Memorial Bridge — the walkway south of Burtness Theatre crossing the English Coulee — is expected to open later this fall. Bridges to the north and south of the construction site will remain open.

An image below shows the areas of construction.
