Mill and overlay of Chester Fritz Performing Arts Center parking lot starts Tuesday, May 26

Starting Tuesday, May 26, the Chester Fritz Performing Arts Center parking lot will be closed for a mill and overlay project that will resurface the lot while introducing new signage, revised access points and a clean-up of center medians.

The project is expected to last through July.

Access to the Gorecki Alumni Center parking lot, University House and the service entrances to the Hughes Fine Arts Center and CFPAC will remain open throughout much of the project, though brief closures of these points are expected as work progresses.

Limited sections of the lot are expected to remain open, starting at the northwest and southeast corners of the lot. These sections will relocate as work progresses, so stay tuned to the Parking Updates blog and/or University Letter for the latest information on available parking at this location.

Entries will remain open near these available parking areas, but other entries are expected to be blocked throughout the project.

The CFPAC will remain open to visitors with access available along Yale Drive, with entry from University Avenue.

Alternative parking lots to be used during the closure include those around the Wilkerson Complex, north of Noren/Selke/Brannon halls and west of McVey Hall.

The sidewalk along Campus Road to the south of the lot will be closed, as well as the northeast sidewalk near the lot and University House.

Construction-related traffic for this and other campus projects is expected to route along Campus Road and Strinden Road to access University Avenue.
