New directors named for Faculty Development and Student Academic Success

The Division of Academic Affairs is pleased to announce the appointment of two outstanding leaders to key director roles at the University of North Dakota.

Liz Legerski has been named director of Faculty Development and will begin her new role on June 1, 2026.

Amanda Voigt has been selected as the next director for Student Academic Success and will begin on June 8, 2026.

Please join Academic Affairs in congratulating Legerski and Voight as they enter these important leadership roles at UND.

About Liz Legerski

A member of the UND faculty since 2010, Legerski currently serves as associate professor and graduate director in the Department of Sociology and was recently promoted to full professor.

She brings extensive experience in faculty mentoring, shared governance, leadership development and campus collaboration. In her new role, Legerski will lead faculty development programming across the University, including the Alice T. Clark mentoring program, and support faculty success and well-being at every career stage.

Legerski’s longstanding commitment to faculty engagement and excellence has been recognized through numerous University and systemwide leadership and service awards.

About Amanda Voigt

Voigt currently serves as assistant director of the UND Center for Innovation and has more than 15 years of experience in student success, academic support and higher education leadership.

A UND alumna, Voigt combines a strong understanding of the University with national experience from Arizona State University, where she worked on large-scale, data-informed student success initiatives. Known for her collaborative and people-centered leadership style, Voigt is passionate about strengthening student support systems through innovation, partnership and continuous improvement.
