Retirement celebration for Tom Dennis is Aug. 13

The campus community is invited to attend a retirement celebration in honor of Tom Dennis, associate director of communications, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 13, in the atrium of the Skalicky Tech Incubator.

Dennis has been with UND since 2019 serving as editor of UND Today, the University’s official news blog. As associate director of communications in the Division of Marketing & Communications, Dennis also edited campus communications, assisted with media relations and produced the UND Discovery newsletter – sharing UND research stories with a national audience.

Prior to his role at UND, Dennis served for 20 years as the Grand Forks Herald’s editorial-page editor. Prior to his career in journalism, Dennis served the nation as a member of the U.S. Coast Guard.
