UND to conduct siren and emergency notification test on Wednesday, Sept. 2

UND will conduct a monthly siren test at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 2.

Sirens are placed strategically throughout campus on Red Jarrett Way (near Hyslop at Memorial Village), Tulane Drive (north of Facilities parking lot), Centennial Drive (west of Harrington Hall), and Princeton Street (near the Wellness Center). This monthly test will be accompanied by an announcement on the siren public address system specifying it is only a test.

Aside from the regular monthly testing, which happens on the first Wednesday of every month, the siren system will only be used in emergency situations.

Additionally, a test of the emergency notification system will happen at the same time. Messages sent that day will be clearly identified as a “test only.”

Please report any problems that you may experience with this test message to the UND Operations Center at 701.777.2591 or UND.opscenter@UND.edu.

Information on how to edit your contact information for the emergency notification system can be found on the Emergency Management webpage.
