UND to celebrate Veterans Day Week

Text: UND Thanks Our Veterans

The University community is invited to events during the week of Veterans Day, which is on Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2026.

On Tuesday, Nov. 10, a Military Student Experience Panel will be held at the Memorial Union Social Stair from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

The panel will be comprised of military-affiliated students, staff and faculty for a discussion about their experiences at UND.

The campus observance of Veterans Day on Nov. 11 will be co-hosted by UND, UND ROTC and the UND Alumni Association & Foundation at the Gorecki Alumni Center.

The ceremony — free and open to the community — begins at 10 a.m., allowing guests to attend other Veterans Day observances in the community, including the Disabled American Veterans ceremony at 11 a.m. at Memorial Park.

Refreshments will be served following the ceremony.

On Nov. 10 and 12, cookies and poppies will be handed out at the Memorial Union and Robin Hall, respectively, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

And since October, a UND Military History Display has been exhibited in the Memorial Union Gallery, honoring 142 years of UND history and the community members who have served the nation.

The exhibition will close after Friday, Nov. 13. More information about the display is available in UND Today. The gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily.

All are welcome to join the University in honoring our country’s veterans.
