Campus community and alumni raise their grateful song during UND Homecoming Week 2022

“There is to be no worry about winter during the celebration of homecoming,” wrote Marilyn Hagerty, columnist for the Grand Forks Herald, on Saturday.

“Just the memories. The best memories.”

Such was the case last week as UND and Grand Forks celebrated an especially busy Homecoming 2022 lineup of events.

UND Homecoming 2022 featured a first-ever Downtown Pep Rally in Town Square, a Hawks Helping Hawks Donation Drive, a UND Blood Drive, a Greek Carnival and a College of Education and Human Development Scholarship Ceremony, among many other events. Highlights of the week included the annual Homecoming Parade and, on Saturday, the UND football team’s inspiring 48-31 win over No. 7-ranked Missouri State in front of 10,000 cheering fans at the Alerus Center.

“A year ago, the UND football team fumbled away a lead in the fourth quarter at Missouri State,” as the Grand Forks Herald reported.

“This time, UND didn’t just hang on to a late lead against Missouri State. The Fighting Hawks poured it on.”

Below are some photos by UND photographers to celebrate “the best memories” of Homecoming Week 2022.
