VIDEO: What’s next for UND LEADS

President Armacost talks with UND’s incoming staff, faculty leaders about strategic plan implementation

President Andrew Armacost welcomes two guests on his latest video address to campus: the incoming presidents of the University and Staff Senates.

Sarah Robinson, clinical associate professor of communication sciences and disorders, and Mike Wozniak, coordinator of leadership and programming for Student Involvement & Parent Programs, join Armacost to talk about implementing the University’s strategic plan, UND LEADS. Robinson is the incoming chair of the University Senate, while Wozniak will lead the UND Staff Senate this year as president.

With an implementation team now in place, the two Senate leaders describe the importance of involvement for the entire campus community.

Armacost asks about the overlap between the work of the Senates and the strategic plan, as well as how their new roles directly support the work of the implementation team.

Wozniak says that just as was the case with the plan’s development, implementation is the work of everyone at UND, in one form or another. Affinity is an especially important pillar for Staff Senate to address, he says.

Robinson encourages the campus community to learn more by visiting the UND LEADS website and to get involved by contacting the leaders of the implementation team, Ryan Zerr and Angie Carpenter.

Armacost then invites viewers to both the State of the University Address and Picnic with the Prez events happening on Thursday, Aug. 17.
