UND Theatre presents ‘Wait Until Dark’ Sept. 26-30

UND Theatre opens the 2023-24 season with a suspenseful play, “Wait Until Dark,” by Frederick Knott. Based on the wildly successful movie from 1967, “Wait Until Dark” is a suspense-filled night of cat and mouse.
After a flight back home, Sam Hendrix returns with a doll he innocently acquired along the way. As it turns out, the doll is stuffed with heroin, and a group of criminals led by the ruthless Roat has followed Hendrix back to his place to retrieve it. When Hendrix leaves for business, the crooks make their move and find his blind wife, Susy, alone in the apartment. Soon, a game begins between Susy and the thugs.
The play is presented in the intimate Burtness Lab Theatre – making the audience feel as if they are part of the action. As the intensity grows, so does the excitement for the production’s patrons.
