Back by popular demand, UND’s Department of Theatre Arts will close its 2024-25 season with “Unrehearsed Shakespeare,” performing three different shows in three nights.
Join UND Theatre for “Taming of the Shrew” on April 24, “Macbeth” on April 25, and “Twelfth Night” on April 26, completely unrehearsed.
“Unrehearsed Shakespeare” is a dynamic performance technique invented and spearheaded by guest director Bill Kincaid. Armed with scrolls and text analysis of their own roles, cast members walk into each show unaware of who is playing who. From there, let the games begin!
Kincaid’s technique, layered into Shakespearean text, informs actors where to go and what to do and often encourages light audience participation. Whether you come for your favorite or check out all three, rest assured each performance will offer something that’s never been done before.
UND Theatre’s students, faculty and staff are dedicated to delivering superb entertainment and an outstanding night out.
